Satellite Design

Inspired by prayer wheels used for meditation, the Skywheel satellite will spin as it orbits, allowing everyone to visualize the prayers inside radiating outward across the sky to bless the Earth.

At the end of a seven year tour of the project, the Skywheel Satellite will be built and launched. As a secondary payload, it will be designed specifically for a particular rocket’s mission, ejected with the primary payload, and then travel using its own propulsion to its polar orbit 1,000 kilometers above the earth, where it will function for 1,000 years.

After launch, people will be able to track the satellite using an app, and receive a message from the Skywheel when it passes over their location.
